Patricia Sanville is a shepherd in Frederick County, Maryland. She raises fiber sheep – primarily Leicester Longwool. A lifelong fiber enthusiast, Patty has been involved in fiber arts since the age of four and is well known both locally and abroad for her work in the sheep industry and for her teaching of fiber arts. While focusing on education, she volunteers with 4-H youth with their projects, promoting fiber arts in schools and nursing homes. She is a Board Member of the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association, Director from Maryland of the American Sheep Industry, and she is an 4-H – Honorary Extension Agent, 4-H All-star, and Youth Mentor. In her spare time, Patty loves to spin all types of wool and fiber, along with knitting, crocheting, weaving, felting and designing projects.
