Loudoun County Fall Farm Tour
October 15 @ 10:00 am - October 16 @ 4:00 pm
Stop in for Slow Fashion from Soil to Shawl with Rebecca Brower, producer member, at Shepherds Corner Farm.
October 15 & 16 from 10:00-4:00 each day.
Come share in my experience of living on a small sheep farm. For me it began as an urge to return to my roots. Over time my dream to raise sheep came to pass and my interests began to expand into producing products from the wool my sheep produce. There are many facets to that dream and each year I gravitate into new territory as I face the reality of how to sustainably manage my farm.
I have invited Martha Polkey from Black Sheep Farm and together we will focus on sustainability and present the following topics at Shepherds Corner Farm on the Loudoun County Fall Farm Tour:
Environmental benefits of raising sheep
Healthy water and soil
A little splash of color with natural plant dye
Sustainable fashion and the expanding possibilities for natural fibers
Don’t waste… Get creative, mend and embellish to add fun and flair to your wardrobe
