Chesapeake Fibershed Meet-Up – Regenerative Agriculture
January 15 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Please join us as Lauren Lovejoy talks about regenerative agriculture and what you can do to make your farm or garden healthier. Regenerative agriculture is a term used to describe agricultural practices that focus on the health of the ecological system as a whole including improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, aiding in carbon sequestration, incorporating humane treatment of livestock and farmworkers, and improving the overall larger ecosystem.
Lauren is a first generation regenerative farmer from Virginia. After returning to her family farm to heal after contracting Lyme disease, she fell in love with regenerative agriculture and advocating for causes that matter. She is co-founder of Regenerative Farmers of America, author of the children’s book “The Little Regenerative Farmer” and founder of Lyme Warrior, a non-profit that works to create resources for those fighting Lyme disease and their caregivers.
